Each fabric, trim, and accessory is meticulously chosen based on mono-fibre design principles, ensuring a seamless recycling process.
The staggering statistics are a wake-up call: one million plastic bottles are purchased every minute, and up to five trillion plastic bags are used globally each year. Half of all plastic is designed for single-use purposes, amplifying the urgency for change.
Beeswift actively contributes to reducing single-use plastics destined for landfills. Our innovative range integrates an average of 11 1-litre bottles per garment, giving post-consumer plastic waste a new purpose. After the garment's lifecycle, the QR code on each label reveals recycling locations where the product can be transformed into new polyester fabrics or used in injection moulding for garment accessories.
How It Works: Closing the Loop on Workwear
When an Envirowear garment reaches the end of its wearable life, it is returned for recycling. Using a unique process, the fabric is converted into rPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate). This can then be transformed into polyester yarn, used for manufacturing new clothing and accessories, or even injection-moulded into garment trims.
This means that instead of workwear becoming waste, it becomes part of a continuous cycle, reducing reliance on raw materials and cutting down on environmental impact.
The Circular Process: Step by Step
Garments are designed with recycling in mind.
They are manufactured through audited suppliers to ensure ethical and sustainable production.
Each garment is built to withstand up to 50 wash cycles, prolonging its lifespan.
At the end of its wearable life, the garment is returned.
The material is recycled into commercial rPET chips.
These rPET chips are then repurposed into 100% polyester yarn or used in garment trims, completing the cycle.
